Minutes
Progress report is almost done - LC sent PMs for UHEL, OC will make PDF and deliver it.
AR: Ontotext has 12M in WP2, so how to use this. AR sent suggestion about using Eclipse plugin and give feedback, after writing GF grammars in connection with ontologies.
BP: connection to RDF DB we should do. About the Eclipse plugin, we will check what we should do there by middle next week.
AR: 12M seems a lot to be done in 4M (time left in WP2 according to workplan).
LC: what is this about using Eclipse. AR: John Camilleri has implemented it and released it. LC: we have Chinese people doing a Chinese GF grammar.
LC: UHEL has worked on translator's tools, we have a plan how this will work together, around Krasimir's editor. We got the editor working under Eclipse (?), we are adding the term editor to it. We would like to embed Krasimir's editor to GlobalSight. So now we have the MOLTO editor as one of the tools. We do not have yet a web demo but will come soon. The work on embedding the editor of Krasimir to other CMSs too as a PlugnPlay component. TODO: Mockup of MOLTO translation environment.
JS: Cristina's presented patent translation at MTXII - Demo available on ontotext website. Ares is doing the SAGE grammar to command CAS systems, almost done - interaction is a problem, servers fail fail after the 5th or 6th questions asked on the MAC, seems to work in Linux. Geogebra interface is planned but my contact is not answering. OC: will forward the CFP to Jordi, possibly fix a meeting with Dom and Jordi.
AR: Ontotext had good start with what Milen sent me.
BP: we have some momentum, museum wp is being handled by Mariana.
AR: UGOT released the Eclipse plugin as part of the gramamr IDE, integration of example-based grammar writing with the editor is under progress. GF3.3 released yesterday. Patents and museum workpackages - we sent off hybrid, modular architecture description to Cristina and Meritxell and are waiting for comments - we have a clear idea where we can improve SMT by GF. Nick has worked on Russian grammars. RBMT organization for June 2012. Will visit originators of workshop in Alicante next week. We start organization soon. Enlargement and extension of MOLTO by 3 months. Start date still under discussion.
LC, AR: UHEL an UZH cooperation has to be defined. Start work on multilingual wiki connecting it to the translation tools. LC looked into the Attempto tools. Technology transfer will be necessary as a stepping stone. Estonian work of Kaarel with Inaari will fit very well. We are discussing tele-working.
Dissemination
Any EACL papers on the way? Demo deadline is a month later. UGOT sent a tutorial proposal (will know next week).
Paper submitted to LIHMT-2011 on evaluation of hybrid systems.
