Poll to decide date of next meeting

All members of the Consortium are called to express their preference in terms of dates for the next project meeting. The meeting will last 3 days in September, of which the first day is an "open workshop" to people outside the Consortium. The location is Varna in Bulgaria.

FLaReNet Questionnaire

On behalf of Claudia Soria, from the the FLaReNet project (http://www.flarenet.eu) I circulate the invitation to fill-in the attached questionnaire for identifying a first set of priority themes for the future of the field of Language Resources and Technologies.

This questionnaire is the first community-wide effort for identifying the top priority recommendations for the future of the field of LR&Ts.

MOLTO Slogan

We need an elevator slogan for MOLTO: a sentence that summarizes the goal of MOLTO in short time, simple words. Currently we have

MOLTO's mission is to develop a set of tools for translating texts between multiple languages in real time with high quality. MOLTO will use multilingual grammars based on semantic interlinguas.

but it is still too technical to be used in the elevator.

Report from Google EMEA Faculty Summit 8-10 February 2010

The Faculty Summit is a meeting organized by Google to gather Academic scientists and Google engineers together. ("Engineer" is the title of honour used by most of their scientists as well.)
